The first meeting of the new season took place on 4^th October at the premises of Edinburgh Cine and Video Society.

The main item was the premiere screening of the completed films from the 2009 workshop and it was interesting to see how the different group movies had turned out. There was a short discussion after each film and the first half of the meeting concluded with a screening of the film of the event. The general consensus was that the standard of all the films was high. A compilation tape will be added to the SAM film library as soon as possible.

In the second half of the programme the remaining films from the 2009 Members Competition, that could not be included in the main programme on the day, were shown. The films shown were: “A Shout for Help”, by Drew Fleming, “Time & Space” by Hugh Trevor and “Kolkata” by Daphne Barbieri. “Restoration of an Icon” by Hugh Trevor was also shown.
